Zenner Biergarten
A
pub with tradition. It started out around 1850 as a place where
families could make their own coffee in the garden. Well,
that's gone. Today you have a restaurant, a disco with live bands, a beer garden
seating 1500 people, a Burger King, various adjoining restaurant ships,
you can rent a barbeque boat or you can have a
sightseeing trip with a water plane.
Right
beneath is one of Berlin's biggest public parks, the
Treptower Park. In the park there's a nice little lake called Karpfenteich and the Soviet Memorial. If you want to
have a nice walk, stroll about 20 minutes north along river Spree. You
end up at Treptower Hafen, where you can go
on a cruise with one of the tourist ships.
How to get there:
The Biergarten is located in the
middle between S-Bahn stations Treptower Park (S8, S9, S41, S42, S85)
and Plänterwald (S8, S9, S85). It doesn't matter where you get
out, it's at least a 15 minute walk anyway.
