Treptower Hafen

The harbour in the district of Treptow is one of Berlin's biggest. If you want to board a tourist ship, that's the place to go. 

Besides ships you find pubs and cafes of all kinds.

Each May there's a four day festival (Treptower Hafenfest) and in August the biggest happening is "Treptow in Flammen" (Treptow in flames), huge fireworks. 

Right beside the harbour is one of Berlin's biggest public parks, the Treptower Park. In the park there's a nice little lake called Karpfenteich and the Soviet Memorial. If you want to have a nice walk, stroll about 20 minutes south along river Spree. You end up at the Zenner Biergarten, a big open air pub.
