  The
backside of Bahnhof Zoo. It was heavily featured in the German
cult-movie "Die Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo" as a meeting point for gays who
like to buy sex. That was true then and it still is today.

 Two minutes
away to the north from crowded and busy Zoo station
you can start
your
walk into the tranquility of Berlin's district of Tiergarten.
 That's
"Oberschleuse" (upper lock). Sometimes you wonder how the
captains manage to get their ships through it without touching
the
walls.

five minutes from Zoo station.
Where else in the western world can you find houseboats in the city's center?  Right
around the corner: the memorial church at Breitscheidplatz.
