Museumsinsel Museum Island is the name of the northern half of the Spreeinsel, an island in the Spree river in the centre of the city (the southern half of the island is called Fischerinsel (Fishers' Island)). You find the Old Museum, the New Museum, the Old National Gallery, the Bode Museum and the Pergamon Museum. The island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site
