Wilhelmstraße
This is the street where Hitler used to stand on
the balcony of his "Reichskanzlei" (Reich Chancellery) to
greet the masses. Housing also Germany's foreign office and
Görings airforce ministry, as well as the departments
for agricultur and propaganda, Wilhelmstraße was the center
of power.
Apart from the airforce building everything was destroyed in World War
2 and the street has lost all its former glory.
The most visited place is the intersection of Wilhelmstr. and
Niederkirchner Str. There you find the Nazi-Terror documentation
center. >>> more
