Halensee
The
district of Halensee is named after the lake.
Although the lake's not that big, it's the most frequented in Berlin's
inner city. And you mainly meet nudists.
The
lake is hard to find for strangers. It is located at the western end of
Kurfürstendamm alongside
the Funkturm and the autobahn. It's a
busy traffic area and you wouldn't imagine a lake anywhere
near.
The
meadow is quite big and surprisingly clean, but the part of the
embankment where you can get into the water is only about ten meters
wide. But once you made it in, the lake is yours, as most folks prefer
sunbathing.
How to get there:
Take S41,
S42 or S46 and get out at Halensee.
